Officially opened since June 30th, 2022... The Vanderhoof Tourism and Cultural Centre enhances and celebrates local and regional culture as it fosters an in-depth understanding of Vanderhoof's growing history!

To promote a vision of shared community and culture, the District of Vanderhoof worked in collaboration with the local Saik’uz First Nation on the building’s design. The buildings design is influenced by Indigenous pit houses, which are places for storytelling, dancing, celebrations, and other cultural activities. 

​

The Centre holds beautiful displays and exhibits from various local artists as well as artifacts from the Saik’uz First Nation and surrounding First Nations. You will also find products made by local artisans for you and your family to take home!
